Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Lead Coordination Minister for the Government's Response to the Royal Commission’s Report into Historical Abuse in State Care and in the Care of Faith-based Institutions: Is the independent arbiter, responsible for assessing claims under the individual redress pathway for survivors of abuse at Lake Alice, required to refer to the decisions about New Zealand from the United Nations Committee against Torture and the findings of the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Historical Abuse in State and Faith-based Care when making assessments; if not, why not?
