Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Revenue: What consultations are the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, planning to open on the week beginning Monday 26 May 2025 with employees around any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and when is any such consultation expected to close?

Hon Simon Watts: Officials advise Inland Revenue commenced a consultation process in the week beginning 26 May 2025 proposing a new organising structure for its primary Data, Analytics & Insights functions. This consultation is expected to close on 17 June 2025. Officials advise that if approved following the consultation and feedback process, the proposals would result in a net reduction in 16 positions.
