Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Local Government: Does the Minister intend to introduce financial incentives for councils to enable more housing, including considering sharing a portion of GST collected on new residential builds with councils, as outlined in the coalition agreement between National and ACT, if so, what advice, reports, briefings, aide memoires, or any other documents has the Minister, or any member of their Office received during the week of 27 November 2023, on this by title and date?

Hon Simeon Brown: In my capacity as the Minister of Local Government I intend to meet all coalition agreement commitments. No advice was received on this specific matter in the week of 27 November 2023.
