27347 (2025). Scott Willis to the Minister for Energy: How many, if any, request for proposals from interested parties were received for Government co-investment in public electric vehicle charging installation, and how many of these requests were successful?

Hon Simon Watts: EECA has provided co-funding support for public EV charger projects since 2017. Through these funding rounds, EECA has supported 161 public EV charging projects. For EECA funding rounds focused on public EV charging infrastructure, 262 applications were received, of which 68 were successful. EECA has also run a number of general transport co-funding rounds that supported projects related to public EV charging as well as other activities. The total number of applications received for public EV charging projects in these general funding rounds is not available due to significant required collation of information. However, 93 public EV charging projects have been supported through these general transport funding rounds.
