Camilla Belich to the Minister of Climate Change: What advice, if any, did the Minister or their officials receive recommending against, or proposing a lower figure than, any board fee increase the Minister subsequently approved since 27 November 2023 for any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible, broken down by organisation and date, as at 8 June 2026?

Hon Simon Watts: Since 27 November 2023, I was provided with advice proposing options which would have resulted in fee increases for the Nominating Committee of the Climate Change Commission of approximately 54 per cent, 20 per cent, or 10 per cent, or no increase. I decided not to approve any fee increase. I refer the Member to my response to written parliamentary question 13778 (2026). I am not the responsible Minister for any boards managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
