27338 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Vocational Education: What advice, if any, has the Minister requested on the proposed job cuts at Whitireia and Weltec, listed by title and date?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I have not requested any advice on the current change proposals at Whitireia and Weltec. However, I did receive a range of advice from the Tertiary Education Commission last year on potential changes that Te Pūkenga could make across its ITP business divisions to improve their financial performance. Ultimately these proposals and decisions are the responsibility of the Te Pūkenga council.
