27316 (2023). Hon Dr Deborah Russell to the Minister of Revenue: Does the Minister intend to progress with the $525 million on average per year, from ending the commercial building depreciation tax break, as a targeted revenue measure to fund the National Party’s tax plan, as outlined in the National Party’s ‘Back Pocket Boost’ document, and if not, why not?
Hon Simon Watts: The Government’s policy programme and priorities are set out in the Speech from the Throne and the coalition documents. I am currently seeking advice on a range of these items from officials. Decisions taken to progress the Government’s policy programme and priorities, including decisions about agency funding , will be announced in due course. Advice and modelling officials provide to support these decisions will be proactively released as part of a proactive release process.
