27310 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Lead Coordination Minister for the Government's Response to the Royal Commission’s Report into Historical Abuse in State Care and in the Care of Faith-based Institutions: Did the Minister receive any advice based on actuarial calculations regarding the numbers of people who may have been abused in care and who may be expected to make a claim for redress?
Hon Erica Stanford: The Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in Care provided a large range of the potential number of people who may have been abused in care. Joint Ministers also received advice on the projected number of new claims over the next four years based on the trend of new claim registrations.
