Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister for Infrastructure: Further to WPQ 21051 (2025) How is the Ministry ensuring that tikanga Māori and mātauranga Māori are integrated into environmental and cultural assessments for fast-track projects when no engagement has occurred with the EPA in this regard?

Hon Chris Bishop: Under section 18 of the Fast-track Approvals Act 2024, the Ministry for the Environment is the responsible agency for preparing Treaty settlements and other obligations reports.
