Ingrid Leary to the Minister for Mental Health: Was funding for the delivery of Needle Exchange Programme services based on information in the New Zealand Drug Foundation People who inject Drugs in Aotearoa: Gap Analysis Report; if so, does that report contain erroneous interpretation of data?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that funding for the new regional contracts will be allocated using population-based statistics and not based on information in the New Zealand Drug Foundation People who inject Drugs in Aotearoa: Gap Analysis.
