27106 (2025). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: What actions, if any, has the Minister taken regarding the Gaza - Israel conflict to uphold human rights and international law since 1 January 2025?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: Since 1 January 2025, New Zealand has made eight statements on this issue. The government has also had direct Ministerial engagement with Israeli and Palestinian counterparts to convey New Zealand’s position. Since 1 January 2025, New Zealand has provided NZ$3.5million to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). ICRC’s work includes promoting human rights and compliance with international humanitarian law.
