Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Lead Coordination Minister for the Government's Response to the Royal Commission’s Report into Historical Abuse in State Care and in the Care of Faith-based Institutions: How, if at all, does the announced redress system for survivors of abuse in care provide surety and certainty when the Minister has also said that in the future there may be an independent system?

Hon Erica Stanford: All systems evolve over time. The announcement on 9 May provided survivors of abuse in state care currently engaging with the redress system or who may be considering lodging a claim in the near future with certainty across a range of important matters.
