27069 (2026). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What specific conditions must be met before funding is drawn down for each tagged contingency in Vote Health, and which Ministers authorise each drawdown?

Hon Simeon Brown: The specific conditions for each tagged contingency within Vote Health are relevant to the specific purpose of the tagged contingency. Drawdowns from each of the tagged contingencies are subject to joint approval from either: - myself and the Minister of Finance, or - myself, the Minister of Finance and the Minister for Infrastructure, or - myself, the Minister of Finance and the Minister for Mental Health. Once decisions and drawdowns have been made, the relevant details will be included in the Supplementary Estimates of Appropriations for the relevant year.
