27066 (2026). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: How many abuse in care survivors are expected to receive redress payments in each of 2025/26 and 2026/27?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised the Ministry of Health expects to make 69 settlement offers to historic abuse survivors by the end of 2025/26 financial year. I am further advised by the Ministry that between 50 to 100 settlement offers are currently estimated to be made in 2026/27, depending on the number of new claims received.
