Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Lead Coordination Minister for the Government's Response to the Royal Commission’s Report into Historical Abuse in State Care and in the Care of Faith-based Institutions: Why are settlements with survivors of abuse in care on a full and final basis when the Minister has indicated there may be future changes to the redress system?

Hon Erica Stanford: The previous Government also oversaw full and final agreements knowing that the redress system, as with all systems, would change over time. This is not a change in approach.
