Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Lead Coordination Minister for the Government's Response to the Royal Commission’s Report into Historical Abuse in State Care and in the Care of Faith-based Institutions: Was the Ombudsman's statement regarding inflation-adjusting payments to survivors of abuse in care considered in the decision to increase the average payment to survivors to $30,000?

Hon Erica Stanford: A range of matters were considered. The primary consideration was to provide for increased payments both in terms of the average payments and increasing the range of payments.
