Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Lead Coordination Minister for the Government's Response to the Royal Commission’s Report into Historical Abuse in State Care and in the Care of Faith-based Institutions: What was the Minister advised, if anything, regarding the number of anticipated claims from survivors of abuse in care that could likely be assessed as egregious?

Hon Erica Stanford: I was advised that currently between 1-2% of claims that go through MSDs individualised process have clear aggravating factors that are exceptional and so warrant payment at the highest tier.
