Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What is the budgeted cost per internationally qualified nurse hire, including recruitment, relocation, registration and bridging costs, and how, if at all, does it compare with employing a New Zealand-trained registered nurse or graduate registered nurse?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that Health New Zealand does not budget for any relocation or registration costs outside of the requirements of Collective Agreements.
