26965 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Land Information: What rules or directives, if any, were sent to the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, regarding making bids for Budget 2026?

Mike Butterick: Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) was provided with a baseline reduction target of 2 percent savings target for Budget 2026, which is $2.1 million per annum. LINZ also received a directive to consider initiatives funded out of reprioritisation to meet any non-discretionary fuel costs this year, due to the conflict in the Middle East.
