Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Health: What initiatives, if any, have funding that will be carried over in each of the Vote’s that the Minister has responsibility for, if any, from the 2024/25 year into the 2025/26 year and what for what reason or reasons will these funds be carried over?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that the departments, agencies, and ministries that I am responsible for as Minister of Health report annually to the Health Select Committee on these matters, as part of our focus on putting patients first and ensuring that all New Zealanders have access to timely, quality healthcare. I do not consider it in the public interest to commit taxpayer-funded officials' time to preparing this information ahead of these publications.
