26914 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Health: How much, if any, are the Minister’s responsible agencies, if any, expecting to cut their overall budget by in 2025/26 and each of the out years as a result of Budget 2025?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that the departments, agencies, and ministries that I am responsible for as Minister of Health report annually to the Health Select Committee on these matters, as part of our focus on putting patients first and ensuring that all New Zealanders have access to timely, quality healthcare. I do not consider it in the public interest to commit taxpayer-funded officials' time to preparing this information ahead of these publications.
