Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Corrections: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies for which savings have been identified resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, if any, how many employees who have lost or are set to lose their roles, as well as vacancies that will not be filled, are health and safety professionals, as at 30 May 2024?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that as at 30 May 2024, as part of the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, all roles that were disestablished were unfilled vacancies. Of these disestablished roles, 14 were within Corrections’ Organisational Resilience & Safety business and are broadly considered to be Health and Safety roles.
