26774 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Education: How much funding will be carried over, if any, in each of the Vote’s that the Minister has responsibility, if any, for from the 2024/25 year into the 2025/26 year and what for what reason or reasons will these funds be carried over?

Hon Erica Stanford: None. Education New Zealand (ENZ) is still working through end of financial year reporting for 2024/25 and detailed budget planning for 2025/26. Once this is completed, ENZ will then be able to identify funds to be carried over. The New Zealand Qualifications Authority will not carry over any funding from the 2024/25 year into the 2025/26 year. ERO is not expecting to cut its overall budget in 2025/26 and each of the out years as a result of Budget 2025.
