Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Which of the six communities named in the announcement, Northland, Counties Manukau, Taranaki, Hawke's Bay, Palmerston North, and Porirua, have received their promised additional scanner to date, and what is the operational status of each?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that a new CT scanner has been installed in Porirua and new CT and MRI scanners have been installed in Hawke’s Bay, all of which are staffed and operational. I am further advised that the machines in the remaining four communities are expected to be installed by September 2026.
