26716 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Which agencies, departments, Crown entities, companies, or other organisations for which the Minister is responsible, if any, have been required to identify or deliver baseline savings or staffing reductions since 27 November 2023, and how much, if anything, has each delivered, broken down by organisation and year, as at 5 June 2026?
Cameron Brewer: The Commerce Commission delivered $3.437 million in baseline savings for Budget 2024. The External Reporting Board implemented a 7.5 per cent funding reduction for Budget 2024. The Financial Markets Authority had funding reduced by 10 per cent ($1.74 million per year) from FY24/25 and outyears. It will see an additional 2 per cent reduction in Crown funding ($529,000) as part of Budget 2026. The Retirement Commission delivered $400,000 in baseline savings for 1 July 2024 onwards. It was also asked to identify additional savings of $164,000 as part of Budget 2026. The Accreditation Council and Takeovers Panel reported no savings requirements for this period.
