26714 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: How many staff, if any, at any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible, since 27 November 2023, have been made redundant, broken down by month and by (a) voluntary redundancy and (b) all other forms of redundancy; and of those, how many have subsequently been appointed to a new role at the same agency, broken down by employment status (contractor, consultant, permanent, part-time), as at 5 June 2026?
Cameron Brewer: Since 27 November 2023, and as of 5 June 2026, Crown entities reported the below numbers. No employees made redundant have subsequently been reappointed within the same agency. Monthly breakdowns for the Commerce Commission and Financial Markets Authority are attached. • Accreditation Council: 1 redundancy in September 2024 • Commerce Commission: 40 redundancies (22 voluntary; 18 other) • External Reporting Board: 1 redundancy in October 2024 • Financial Markets Authority: 27 redundancies (13 voluntary; 14 other) • Retirement Commission: Nil • Takeovers Panel: Nil
