Camilla Belich to the Minister for Tertiary Education: How many staff, if any, at any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible, since 27 November 2023, have been made redundant, broken down by month and by (a) voluntary redundancy and (b) all other forms of redundancy; and of those, how many have subsequently been appointed to a new role at the same agency, broken down by employment status (contractor, consultant, permanent, part-time), as at 5 June 2026?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I refer the Member to the attached table that sets out the number of Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) staff who have been made redundant broken down by month since the 27 November 2023. TEC did not seek voluntary redundancy. No staff who have been made redundant have been appointed to a new role (i.e. contractor, consultant, permanent, part-time) as of 5 June 2026.
