Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Prime Minister: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies for which savings have been identified resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, if any, how many employees who have lost or are set to lose their roles, as well as vacancies that will not be filled, work with people with disabilities as at 30 May 2024?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I am the Responsible Minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). There have been no employees who have lost or are set to lose their roles in the DPMC, as well as vacancies that will not be filled, arising from the Government’s fiscal sustainability programme that work with people with disabilities as at 30 May 2024.
