Hon Scott Simpson: I refer the Member to page 349 of The Estimates of Appropriations 2026/27 (https://www.treasury.govt.nz/sites/default/files/2026-05/est26-v4-stat.pdf) outlining the new policy initiatives funded from Vote Statistics. Information about unsuccessful Budget bids or successful Budget bids that received funding less than the amount sought, has not been disclosed, to maintain the constitutional conventions protecting the confidentiality of advice tendered by Ministers and officials.
