26680 (2026). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: How many, if any, medical imaging technologists, radiologists, and other staff have been recruited since October 2025 to operate the new and replacement scanners announced in October 2025, broken down by hospital?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that the six replacement machines installed since the October 2025 announcement have not required additional staffing. I am further advised that the following staff were recruited for the three additional machines: • 6.38 FTE for the new CT and new MRI at Hawke's Bay hospital, including medical imaging technologists, nurses and a healthcare assistant. • 5.2 FTE for the new CT at Kenepuru Hospital, including medical imaging technologists, radiographic assistant and a SMO/Radiologist.
