26673 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies for which savings have been identified resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, if any, how many employees who have lost or are set to lose their roles, as well as vacancies that will not be filled, work with people with disabilities as at 30 May 2024?
Hon Brooke van Velden: As Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety, I have no responsibility for any government departments or Ministries. In respect of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, I refer the Member to the Minister for Economic Development’s answer to written parliamentary question 26303 (2024).
In respect of the Crown Entity WorkSafe New Zealand, the only savings realised are in relation to the return of funding for activities that are no longer progressing, and these have not had any FTE impact on the organisation.
