Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Transport: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies for which savings have been identified resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, if any, how many employees who have lost or are set to lose their roles, as well as vacancies that will not be filled, work with people with disabilities as at 30 May 2024?

Hon Simeon Brown: The Ministry's Baseline Savings programme starts on 1 July 2024. As at 30 May 2024, no NZTA employees in roles which have a focus on working with people with disabilities as the substantive part of their role (75%) have lost or are set to lose their roles, including vacancies not filled.
