Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Statistics: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies for which savings have been identified resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, if any, what are the total costs of staff redundancies, as at 30 May 2024?

Hon Andrew Bayly: I am advised that as at 30 May 2024, the total cost of staff redundancies as part of meeting Stats NZ’s 7.5 percent savings target for Budget 2024 is $1,763,185.00.
