Camilla Belich to the Minister for Media and Communications: Which agencies, departments, Crown entities, companies, or other organisations for which the Minister is responsible, if any, have been required to identify or deliver baseline savings or staffing reductions since 27 November 2023, and how much, if anything, has each delivered, broken down by organisation and year, as at 5 June 2026?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: As Minister for Media and Communications, I am not responsible for any departments. For Budget 26 baseline savings targets I refer the Member to page 66 and 67 of the following document: https://budget.govt.nz/budget/pdfs/summary-initiatives/b26-sum-initiatives.pdf. As per Speaker’s Ruling 199/6, I do not consider it to be in the public interest to undertake an exercise to identify and collate the additional material requested for the entities I am responsible for, as it will require a significant diversion of resource.
