26570 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: How many staff, if any, at any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible, since 27 November 2023, have been made redundant, broken down by month and by (a) voluntary redundancy and (b) all other forms of redundancy; and of those, how many have subsequently been appointed to a new role at the same agency, broken down by employment status (contractor, consultant, permanent, part-time), as at 5 June 2026?
Hon Brooke van Velden: WorkSafe New Zealand’s redundancy costs since 27 November 2023 are set out in the tables provided. I am advised that four staff have been appointed to a new role at the same agency (WorkSafe) on a temporary basis, one on a contract, one as a consultant, and two on a fixed-term contract.
