26539 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: What is the total sum, if any, spent on wages for any contractors and consultants who have been previously employed in a different capacity at any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible, since 27 November 2023, as at 5 June 2026, broken down by month and organisation?
Hon Louise Upston: I am advised that the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) does not centrally collate information on the number of contractors or consultants who were previously employed permanently within the Ministry. Due to limitations of the information held in the Ministry’s HR System (myHR) on contractors and consultants, the Ministry is unable to identify the number of consultants, contractors, or people providing professional services who were previously employed by the Ministry. I can, however, provide the Member with the expenditure on wages for any contractors and consultants who have been previously employed in a different capacity for the Crown Entities, which is broken down by year in the attached table.
