26535 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: How many staff, if any, at any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible, since 27 November 2023, have been made redundant, broken down by month and by (a) voluntary redundancy and (b) all other forms of redundancy; and of those, how many have subsequently been appointed to a new role at the same agency, broken down by employment status (contractor, consultant, permanent, part-time), as at 5 June 2026?
Hon Louise Upston: I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development that since 27 November 2023, 392 staff left by way of redundancy. Within this period, 10 employees were rehired in permanent full-time roles. I refer the member to the attached table, which provides the number of staff who have left by way of redundancy since 27 November 2023 (redundancy/severance and voluntary redundancy) by month and year.
