26498 (2023). Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan to the Minister for Disability Issues: Has Whaikaha been through any restructuring and/or cuts in 2023, and what advice, reports, briefings, aide memoires, or any other documents has the Minister, or any member of their Office received on restructuring of the ministry?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I have been advised Whaikaha – Ministry of Disabled People (Whaikaha) completed its organisation design, post the establishment structure in July 2023. The new organisation was stood up on 01 August 2023. Over the last four months, Whaikaha has focused on implementing this new structure. There has been some movement of capability between groups to better align to the operating model, but this has not led to any restructuring or cuts.
