Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Land Information: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies for which savings have been identified resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, if any, how many staff have been made redundant, as at 30 May 2024?

Hon Chris Penk: I am advised that these decisions are the responsibility of the Chief Executive. As part of its ongoing operating and fiscal review, Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand has had three confirmed redundancies and 54 vacant roles disestablished as at 30 May 2024.
