Hon Brooke van Velden: Department of Internal Affairs: I am advised by the Department of Internal Affairs that they do not have records of whether contractors and consultants have been previously employed by the Department. Classification Office: I am advised by the classification office that one Contractor was employed during 2023/24 and 2024/25. This person ceased employment (resigned) with the Classification Office in January 2019. Please see the table attached for further details. Contactor: Waitarehu Communications Ltd. Lotto New Zealand: I am advised by Lotto New Zealand that three previous employees have been re-engaged in a contract or consultancy capacity at the Lotto NZ since 27 November 2023 as attached. Fire and Emergency New Zealand: I am advised that Fire and Emergency NZ have spent $2,776,507.43 on 20 contractors and consultants previously employed by it since 27 November 2023 to 5 June 2026.
