Hon Tama Potaka: Two new spending initiatives were submitted for Budget 2026:
Te Māori Tū - Forging New Trade Relationships Through Showcasing Culture, sought new funding of $10 million over five years. The initiative was fully funded through the reprioritisation of baseline funding; and,
Māori Media - Strengthening the Māori Media Sector For A Digital Future And Te Reo Māori Revitalisation, The initiative was funded through a tagged contingency of $48 million over four years.
