Hon Julie Anne Genter to the Minister of Transport: What specific teams, business units, or individual roles within the New Zealand Transport Agency, if any, currently hold responsibility for investigating any internal fraud, contract inflation, or alliance mismanagement, and are any of these roles being considered to be disestablished or altered?

Hon Chris Bishop: NZTA has multiple teams and roles involved in investigating potential fraud, contract management and alliances, both proactively and reactively in response to internal and external complaints, speak ups or whistleblowers. Key teams include the dedicated Compliance and Integrity team, alongside other roles across the organisation including the Regulatory Investigations team and contract management roles. There are no active restructure proposals or live consultations relating to the internal Integrity and Compliance team at this time.
