26423 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Statistics: What user charges, if any, will be collected by the Minister’s responsible agencies, if any, in 2025/26, and for each of these what is the total amount expected to be collected?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised by Stats NZ that a 'User Charges' approach is in place for some existing statistical production and customised data service requests on a cost recovery basis. It is expected that the total revenue from the provision of these services will be $2.169 million in the 2025/26 financial year. There are no plans to extend user charges or to implement new user charges.
