Camilla Belich to the Minister of Corrections: What is the total sum, if any, spent on wages for any contractors and consultants who have been previously employed in a different capacity at any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible, since 27 November 2023, as at 5 June 2026, broken down by month and organisation?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that while Corrections considers a person’s previous employment during the hiring process, there is no central repository of this information and therefore Corrections cannot answer this question without reviewing individual employment files. This would amount to substantial collation and manual analysis which I am not prepared to request my officials to do in order to respond to this question.
