Camilla Belich to the Minister of Conservation: What redundancy or restructuring costs, if any, have been incurred by any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, listed by organisation, the number of positions disestablished, and the total cost of redundancy payments, as at 5 June 2026?

Hon Tama Potaka: The Department of Conservation advises me that as at 5 June 2026, since 27 November 2023, DOC has processed 123 redundancies, at a total cost of $6,380,509. Since 27 November 2023, a total of 926.20 FTE positions have been disestablished through organisational change processes. Not all disestablished positions resulted in redundancies and in some cases restructuring resulted in no net reduction in the total number of positions. Over the same period, 672.05 FTE positions were established through organisational change processes, resulting in a net reduction of 254.15 FTE positions.
