26404 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Conservation: What is the total sum, if any, spent on wages for any contractors and consultants who have been previously employed in a different capacity at any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible, since 27 November 2023, as at 5 June 2026, broken down by month and organisation?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised that since 27 November 2023, the Department of Conservation has spent a total of $342,072 on sixteen individuals engaged as contractors who were previously employees at the Department of Conservation. DOC is not able provide this breakdown by month, as this granularity would expose individual payments.
