26403 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Conservation: How many staff, if any, at any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible, since 27 November 2023, have been made redundant, broken down by month and by (a) voluntary redundancy and (b) all other forms of redundancy; and of those, how many have subsequently been appointed to a new role at the same agency, broken down by employment status (contractor, consultant, permanent, part-time), as at 5 June 2026?
Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised that, since 27 November 2023, the Department of Conservation has had 123 redundancies. I refer the member to the attached table for the breakdown of redundancies by month, including details about voluntary redundancies. Of these 123 redundancies, 12 staff have subsequently been appointed to a new role at the Department (six casual, five fixed term and one permanent as at 5 June 2026). I refer the member to the attached table for the breakdown of employment status.
