Camilla Belich to the Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage: What is the total sum, if any, spent on wages for any contractors and consultants who have been previously employed in a different capacity at any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible, since 27 November 2023, as at 5 June 2026, broken down by month and organisation?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: Information on contractor and consultant expenditure is publicly avaliable on the Public Services Commission website (https://www.publicservice.govt.nz/data/workforce-data/public-sector-composition/workforce-size). I consider that further work to identify more detailed information would require a diversion of resources that will interfere with the operation of my office. As per Speaker’s Ruling 199/6, I do not consider it to be in the public interest to undertake an exercise to identify and collate the material requested.
