26379 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister for Energy: What user charges, if any, will be collected by the Minister’s responsible agencies, if any, in 2025/26, and for each of these what is the total amount expected to be collected?

Hon Simon Watts: EECA does not directly collect user charges. However, each year EECA is appropriated Crown funding sourced from the government's energy levies - the Petroleum or Engine Fuel Monitoring (PEFM) levy, Electricity Industry levy, and Gas Safety, Monitoring and Energy Efficiency (GSMEE) levy. In 2025/26, EECA will receive $23.259 million from the energy levies. This is made up of $13.500 million from the PEFM levy, $7.543 million from the Electricity Industry levy, and $2.216 million from the GSMEE levy. This is an increase of $2.959 million in EECA's levy funding from 2024/25.
