Camilla Belich to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: How many confidential settlement agreements, non-disclosure agreements or confidentiality clauses, if any, have been entered into with employees, former employees, contractors, or office holders by any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, broken down by organisation, total cost, and year, as at 5 June 2026?
Cameron Brewer: The Accreditation Council entered into 2 agreements totalling approximately $135,000. The Commerce Commission entered into 13 agreements totalling approximately $855,000. The External Reporting Board entered 1 agreement totalling approximately $52,000. The Financial Markets Authority does not use non-disclosure agreements but spent approximately $328,000 on confidential settlements. The Retirement Commission and the Takeovers Panel had none.
